Gas scrubbers
Gas scrubbers operate over a wide range of operating conditions, and these have to be taken into account within the design.
Optimum performance of gas scrubbers is dependent upon rigorous design of key components within the package, especially the inlet headers, to ensure uniform gas distribution.
Pipe fittings can often have a significant effect on the flow regime inside the vessel and upstream approach pipe work is often subjected to analysis to evaluate any mal-distribution at the inlet zone. Opus employs both Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Hysis to validate all designs.
